The Upstate Bomber Series made its first appearance of the summer at the Redwood Acres Raceway on Saturday and it was a good night for Raquel Krupa.

The second racing night of the season at the local track included the Craig Perrone Memorial Race, which was presented by DelReka Distributing.

The Upstate Modifieds, Legends, Jr. legends and roadrunners also were in action.

And it was a good night for Krupa, who was able to maneuver her way to the lead at the start of the Upstate Bombers main event and held on for the win.

Krupa also posted the fast in qualifying (18.641).

T.J. Sorrels, who won the heat race, placed second in the main event, followed by Jimmy Sorrels in third and Kimberly Rojas in fourth.

Upstate Modified qualifying, meanwhile, was paced by Luke Hall who set a time of 16.645, while David Furia was the heat race winner.

Furia led the majority of the feature event but Hall was able to power by for the lead in the late stages to take the victory.

Furia placed second followed by Gene O’Dell in third and Christian Sanchez in fourth.

Trey Daniels set the quickest lap in Legends qualifying with a 17.488 and he followed that with a win in the heat race.

Kylie Daniels took the lead at the drop of the green in the feature event and led for the majority of the first half of the race.

Trey Daniels was able to take the lead on lap 14 and went unchallenged from that point on.

At the finish it was Trey Daniels taking the checkered flag over Landen Green, Kylie Daniels, Scott Taylor and Tyler Manning.

Garrett Wheeler swept the night in the mini stocks as he won both the mini heat race and main event.

10-year-old Phoenix Venza made his debut behind the wheel of a Jr. Legend and he won both the heat and main event in that division.

The 2025 season at Redwood Acres Raceway continues this Friday and Saturday with the always popular Fair Night racing.

Friday’s action will feature the Mid-City Motor World Late Models, Legends, bombers and mini stocks, while Saturday’s event will have Legends, bombers and the fan-favorite boat races.
