By Ray Hamill — The H-DNL has announced new admission prices for games for the upcoming school year.
According to a press release, this is the first price increase in more than two decades.
“During that time period, costs for all aspects of high school athletics — travel, uniforms, supplies, equipment and officials — have gone up significantly,” the press release said.
The new prices were approved by a vote among league schools.
The new prices include $8 admission for adults and $5 for seniors, high school students and college students with student body cards.
The previous admission prices were $5 and $3.
Visiting students without a student body card also will be charged $5, as will children eighth grade and under with parents.
Community members are encouraged to contact their local school for information regarding site only season passes.

The NCS contracts between schools and ref orgs still “shorts on fuel reimbursement” by using the IRS standard knowing the IRS already rips off labor, and the fuel allocation is still way too low… and it is based also on a single driver only, an outdated carpooling scoff law that only hurts referee availability…
… and California won’t allow unionization of referee organizations where refs can “strike”, as opposed to “quit”… but my assumption is if enough refs quit, schools are either going to pony up fast or drop the sports program altogether… no wiggle room for refless sports…
…insiders are just not reasonable people, and expect refs to volunteer at a higher cost now, for free…🤷♂️ think about it.
