The Humboldt Crabs continued to struggle on the road on Friday night, as they dropped their fourth straight game away from the Arcata Bay Park.
After being swept by the Potters in Lincoln earlier in the week, the Crabs opened a three-game weekend series against the Prune Packers in Healdsburg and lost 4-2.
The defeat drops the Crabs to 0-4 in the Pacific Empire League and 10-6 overall.
With their win, the Prune Packet kept their unbeaten start to the season going and improved to 14-0.
The Crabs were held to six hits in the loss, all singles.
Jett Ruby went 2-for-5 with an RBI and Victor Castaneda was 2-for-4.
Michael Mckernan and Blake Browning each also had a hit.
Andrew Overland took the loss on the hill.
The Las Vegas native got the start and threw five innings, allowing three earned runs on five hits and one walk while striking out four.
The Crabs led early after scoring a run in the top of the second inning, but the home team responded with four unanswered runs to take a lead they would not relinquish.
The Crabs will try to get back on track and end their losing skid when they continue their weekend series against the Prune Packers on Saturday night at 6 p.m.
The two clubs will close out the series on Sunday afternoon.
