The red-hot Humboldt Crabs swept a two-game midweek series against the Alameda Anchors at the Arcata Ball Park this week.
The Crabs won game one 18-1 on Tuesday and followed that with a 10-0 shutout victory on Wednesday.
With the victories, the Crabs improved to 23-6 on the season.
In game one, the local club blew open a tied game with 14 runs in the bottom of the fourth inning and after that there was no way back for the visitors.
Five Crabs player finished with multiple hits in the win, including Colby Lunsford who was 3-for-4 with three RBIs and Javier Felix who was 3-for-5 with two RBIs.
Both players had a triple, as did teammate Billy Ham.
Gabe Tanner threw five innings for the win on the hill, allowing just three hits and striking out eight.
Merek Sears and Clayton Ray combined on the mound for the shutout on Wednesday, with each allowing just one hit.
Sears pitched six innings for the win and struck out nine while walking just one batter.
Once again, the Crabs offense provided plenty of run support, as the home team took control of the game with four runs in the bottom of the fourth.
Michael McKernan led the offense and was 3-for-4 with a double, while Felix, Peyton Miller and Cameron Saso each added two hits.
Felix tripled for the second straight game.
The Crabs will try to extend their four-game winning streak when they host the Bay Area Admirals in a three-game series this weekend.
Game one is set for Friday night at 7 p.m.
