Will Mager led the way at the plate as the Humboldt Eagles 19Us dropped their final game at the Medford tournament on Sunday.
The Eagles lost a high-scoring game 9-7 to Fairfield and closed out tourney play 2-3.
Mager finished 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs, as the Eagles rallied from an early three-run deficit to take a 7-6 lead.
However, the Fairfield bats would respond with three runs in the bottom of the sixth before the time limit ran out.
Cayden Lee also had a good game at the plate and was 2-for-4 with an RBI, while Caden Vance capped a big tournament with a double and two RBIs.
Cody Collins also had a base hit.
Cooper Ohlsen, Matt Letter and Mager all pitched for the Eagles, with the latter taking the loss in relief.
With the loss, the Eagles dropped to 13-7-1 on the season.
The local American Legion club will enjoy a day off on Monday before continuing a busy road trip with a doubleheader at Roseburg on Tuesday.
