Former All-League soccer and basketball player Sita Kuteira is one of three Tigers who is being inducted into the Arcata High Hall of Fame this week.

Kuteira will join Brian Stumpf and Elijah Ricca, and the induction ceremony will be held at Arcata High on Thursday night.

The 2002 Arcata graduate played four sports during her time as a Tiger, competing in soccer, basketball, golf and track and field.

But it was in soccer and basketball where she really made her impact, earning three All-League selections in soccer and one in basketball.

She also helped her teams to a combined seven league championships in those two sports, as well as three Dick Niclai Tournament titles in basketball, and was named the Times-Standard Athlete of the Year as a senior.

Kurteira would go on to play soccer for four years at UC Davis and was a team captain as a senior.

Stumpf, meanwhile, played four sports for the Tigers, starring in football, basketball, baseball and track and field, before graduating in 1995.

He was an All-League selection in football, setting Arcata High single-season records for receptions (58) and receiving yards (1,039), and was named to the CalHiSports All-State team in 1994.

He would add an All-League selection in basketball and was a two-time league champion in both the 100 and 200 meters, as well as winning two league titles as part of the 4x100m relay team.

Stumpf would go on to play football at the university of California, Berkeley.

Ricca was a two-sport athlete for the Tigers, competing in cross country and track and field.

The 1989 graduate was a three-time All-League selection in cross country and won league championships in 1987 and 1988, before placing ninth at the state championships as a senior.

Ricca also was a multiple league champion in track, winning the 1600m and 3200m titles in 1989, before going on to place first at the North Coast Section Meet of Champions in the 1600m and seventh at the state meet.

He set a league record in the 1600m (4 minutes 13.7 seconds) and a school record in the 3200m (9:20.1).

He would go on to compete in both sports for the United State Air Force Academy.
