The NorCal Legend Series debuted at the Redwood Acres Raceway during a busy weekend of racing action at the Redwood Acres Fair.
The late models, bombers and mini stocks were also in action.
Jeremy Doss lowered the track record for the Legends with a blistering 17.433 time, beating his previous record by over a full tenth of a second.
The heat race winners for the NorCal Legend Series were Tyler Krupa and Doss.
Doss dominated the division and was never seriously challenged on his way to the checkered flag in the 35-lap main event.
Cole Brown finished second, followed by Mike Doss, Cody Winchel and Luke Hall, who was making his first start in a Legend car.
The 45-lap late model main event featured a great battle for the lead between Luke Hall and Brandon Barnwell.
It took Barnwell numerous laps to make the necessary run on Hall, but he was eventually able to do it to take the lead.
Barnwell took the victory, followed by Hall, Ryan Walters, Nick Ford and Romeo Venza.
The start of the 30-lap main event in the bombers division got off to a bad start when Doug Way and Tanisha Ratzlaff tangled down the back stretch sending Ratzlaff head-on into the wall.
Thankfully Ratzlaff was unharmed.
Following the restart, brothers Tyler and Jordan Krupa battled for the lead, with Tyler eventually able to pull away to a comfortable margin and take the win.
Jordan Krupa was second, followed by Way, Kadence Toland and Lori Brown.
Gary Klinetobe once again looked unstoppable in the mini stocks.
After setting the fast time with a 18.517, he would go on to take the main event, followed by Colton Kinsey, Nick Ford, Cole Peterson and Allison McCarty.
The 2023 season continues on July 8 with the Harper Motors Firecracker 100, which will feature the late models.
The Upstate Bombers will also be in action, along with the Legends, mini stocks and roadrunners.
