It’s been a while coming, but the Humboldt State men’s rugby team posted a breakthrough victory on Saturday as the Jacks continue to build their playoff resume.
Playing their second game of the season, the Humboldt State men won 31-0 at Cal Maritime, beating a team they have not had success against since 2008.
The victory was the second in two matches this season for the HSU men, who improved to 2-0.
Two weeks ago, the Lumberjacks won their season opener at home to Sonoma State by a score of 55-12.
The Jacks, who led that game 38-0 at halftime, have not outscored their first two opponents 86-12.
