Eagles 19Us close out tournament play in Reno

The Humboldt Eagles 19Us fell 13-2 to the EJ Sports Warriors to close out play at the Reno Muckdogs tournament on Sunday.

The local American Legion baseball club, which finished the three-day tournament 2-3, managed just four hits in the loss, including a double by Connor Johnson.

Xander Sorensen, Cole Ayala and Mason Nichols each also had a base hit.

Aidan Dorsch got the start on the mound, with Ethan Pesch, Parker Rodgers and Nichols all pitching in relief as head coach Jeff Mielke went deep to his bullpen.

The Eagles are now 9-13 on the season.
