The Northern Humboldt Giants maintained their fast start to the American Legion baseball season with a sixth straight win on Wednesday night, beating the Southern Humboldt 76ers 10-4 in eight innings at Fortuna.
Finn McRea got the win on the mound in relief of starter Ethan Thomas, who pitched seven solid innings.
McRea also had a big night at the plate, finishing 3-for-4 with a double, while teammate Austin Brown was 2-for-3 with a double.
Issac Arriola added two hits, including a big single in the eighth to score the go-ahead runs.
Vincent Agliolo also had a double, while Jared Dixon, Alex Gorge and William Bommelyn each also had a hit.
Wyatt Wilson pitched seven strong innings for the 76ers, with Vincent Meade taking the loss in relief.
Kyler Radelfinger finished 2-for-4 with a double in the loss, while Wilson, Regan Nyberg and Cody Sauers each also had two hits.
Cody Collins also had a hit for the 76ers.
Next up, the Giants host the Redding Vipers on Saturday, while the 76ers host Fort Bragg on Sunday.
