Scoring runs has not been a problem for the Humboldt Crabs early in the new season.
On Sunday, the Crabs completed a second straight three-game weekend sweep, this time over the South Bay Storm.
After opening with a 21-2 victory on Friday night, the Crabs continued to dominate with a 15-3 win on Saturday night and a 12-3 win on Sunday.
In their opening seven games of the summer, the 7-0 Crabs have scored at least 12 runs in all but one game, which was against the Humboldt Eagles.
And they showcased plenty of power over the weekend, blasting six home runs and eight doubles.
After hitting two home runs in Friday night’s win, including a grand slam, Adam Enyart hit his third home run of the series in Saturday’s win, while teammate Damien Casas his his third home run of the early season in Sunday’s win.
Former Fortuna Husky Daniel Osborne also enjoyed a huge weekend with the team.
Osborne, who has played at Shasta College for the past two seasons, has hit the ground running this summer and finished 4-for-5 with a double, three RBIs and a run on Saturday night, before going 2-for-4 with a run on Sunday.
Through his first six games with the Crabs, Osborne is batting an impressive .381 with nine RBIs.
Another Fortuna graduate, Cody Collins, also had an impact in Saturday’s game.
Collins got his second start of the summer on the mound and threw four strong innings allowing two hits and two walks in four scoreless innings and striking out four.

Arcata’s Ben Lukens also threw two scoreless innings in relief, giving up two hits and a walk and striking out two.
Mike Pickett also hit a home run in the win, while Casas, Jaden Shabry and Enyart each added a double.
Enyart and Shabby each had three hits in the win.
The Crabs continued to hit the ball well in Sunday’s series finale, finishing with 13 hits and taking control of the game with a six-run fourth inning.
Casas was 3-for-5 with the home run and four RBIs, while Pickett and Conor Boardman each added two hits, including a double by Pickett.
Nikko Taylor also had a triple and four RBIs, while Jamie Mullin added a double.
Next up, the Crabs will try to continue their fast start to the season when they host the Fresno A’s in a two-game midweek series, which begins on Tuesday night.
First pitch it set for 7 p.m.
