
Humboldt Crabs Baseball
Parker Rodgers scored the winning run in the bottom of the 10th inning as the Humboldt Crabs secured an exciting walk-off win over the Bercovich Honors at the Arcata Ball Park on Wednesday night.
The former Eureka High and College of the Redwoods player reached home plate on a wild pitch to break the tie and seal an 8-7 victory.
With the non-league win, the Crabs improved to 34-8 on the summer, having also defeated the Honors 9-1 on Tuesday night.
Former Arcata Tiger Cedar Cline got the win on the mound, his first of the summer.
Cline was making his third appearance of the season and pitched two hitless and scoreless innings in relief, while striking out three.
CR’s Brock Lenhardt got the start and allowed seven hits and one walk in five innings while striking out two.
Adam Enyart led the Crabs at the plate and finished 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI.
Jacob Pappas, Nolan Hamilton and Michael Perazzo each added two hits, including a double by Hamilton.
The Crabs will be back at the Arcata Ball Park this weekend, when they take on the Medford Rogues in a three-game league series.
Game one is on Friday hight at 7 p.m.
