By Ray Hamill — After a challenging road trip to open the Pacific Empire League last week, the Humboldt Crabs are back at the Arcata ball Park this weekend.
And they’ll face a team they are getting very familiar with.
On Friday night, the Crabs will continue league play when they open a three-game weekend series against the Lincoln Potters.
The two clubs played three games in Lincoln last week, with the Crabs taking a tight series.
The Crabs won game one 5-3, before dropping game two 8-5.
Game three on Sunday was won by the Crabs by a score of 14-5.
Over the past couple of years, the Crabs and Potters have developed a good rivalry as two of the better teams in the PEL.
And the games between them are usually competitive and exciting.
Game one of the weekend series is set for 7 p.m. on Friday night, with gas two on Saturday night at 6:30 and the series finale on Sunday afternoon at 12:30.
The games, as always, will be streamed live on the Crabs YouTube channel.
