The Hoopa Warriors won for the second straight day at the Trinity Holiday Classic on Saturday morning, defeating Little 4 rival Ferndale, 61-60.
The Wildcats rallied from a seven-point halftime deficit to tie the game going into the fourth quarter, but the Warriors outscored them 18-17 in the final period to sneak the win.
In other games on Saturday, Fortuna fell 76-37 to Piner in the Arcata Invitational Boys Tournament championship game, while St. Bernard’s fell 68-46 to Mt. Shasta at the Mt. Shasta tournament.
Also at Arcata, Cody Whitmer hit a buzzer-beating 3-pointer to lead McKinleyville to a 42-41 win over the Tigers in the third-place game.
The Del Norte Warriors also won on Saturday, getting the better of Lassen 61-50 at Mt. Shasta.
Eureka closed out the Arcata tournament with a victory over Buckingham Charter. No score or stats were immediately available.
The Loggers are now 2-4.
The South Fork boys also were in action at the Potter Valley tournament, defeating Willits 62-31 in the championship game.

After their dramatic win over Ferndale, the Hoopa boys lost their second game on Saturday, falling 71-58 to Fall River.
Hoopa is now 2-6 on the season.
Del Norte 61, Lassen 50
After dropping five straight, the Warriors took back-to-back games to close out the Mt. Shasta tournament, including an 11-point win over Lassen in the consolation championship on Saturday.
Ethan Thomas continued to lead the Del Norte offense and finished with 19 points in the win, while Wyatt Robson continued his comeback from injury with 16 points, including four 3s.
“Proud of our entire group,” head coach Cris Rice said. “Our defense has been up to standard and we’re finally clicking on offense.”
Kai Russell also had a good game and finished with 11 points, while Lyon Rigden and Oscar Bowdish each chipped in six points.
Del Norte is now 4-5 on the season.
Mt. Shasta 68, St. Bernard’s 46
A shorthanded St. Bernard’s team that was missing three key players because of sickness and injury dropped its third straight game at the Mt. Shasta tournament on Saturday.
With so many players sidelined, the Dyer brothers picked up some of the slack.
Junior Seth Dyer scored a team-high 18 points in the loss and was named to the all-tournament team.
Younger brother Liam, a freshman, chipped in 11 points.
Junior standout Aaiden Burris, who was missing through injury, was named to the all-tournament team.
Burris scored 39 points against Del Norte on Friday morning and had 21 points in half a game against Weed later on the same day before exciting the game injured.
