Three local pitchers combined on the mound again on Monday, as the Humboldt Crabs defeated the Solano Mudcats 10-5 to stretch their winning streak to six straight.
Caleb Ruiz pitched six innings for his team-leading third win of the season, allowing five hits and one walk and striking out five.
The former St. Bernard’s Crusaders is 3-0 on the season.
Hayden Bode pitched two innings in relief before Cameron Saso came in to throw the final inning and close out the win.
Colby Lunsford continued to impress at the plate and finished 3-for-4 with a double and three RBIs, his second straight three-hit game, while Cary Arbolida hit two of the Crabs’ five doubles on the day.
Jordan Petruska also had a home run.
With the win, the Crabs improved to 14-8.
The two teams will continue a three-game series on Tuesday night at 7 p.m.
