After dropping six straight games coming into this week, the Humboldt Crabs rediscovered their touch at the plate in a two-game series against the Silicon Valley Sharks at the Arcata Ball Park.
The Crabs took the series opener 13-0 on Tuesday and followed that with an even more dominating 21-3 win on Wednesday.
The two wins lift the Crabs to 10-8 and back up above .500 again, as they get set to welcome the Sacramento Saints to the Arcata Ball Park for a three-game series this weekend.
Tyler Davis led a 23-hit team performance in Wednesday’s win, as the Crabs scored six runs in the bottom of the third to lead 10-2 and added five more runs in the fifth as they began to pull away.
Davis finished 5-for-6 with five RBIs and five runs.
Colby Lunsford added four hits in the win.
Friday’s series opener begins six straight days of games at the Arcata Ball Park, with the Crabs also hosting the Solano Mudcats on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Friday’s game is set for 7 p.m.
