Schedule changes announced for weekend NCS soccer

By Ray Hamill — Time changes have been announced for two of this weekend’s North Coast Section soccer playoff  games, which have been moved forward an hour.

The Arcata and McKinleyville girls will both host games at Mack High on Saturday, with the Tigers now playing St. Helena at noon and the Panthers playing Credo at 2:30 p.m.

The games have also switched from the Mack High stadium to the south soccer field.

Arcata is the No. 1 seed in the Division-I bracket after clinching the Big 5 title two weeks ago, while St. Helena is seeded No. 8.

The Panthers are No. 4 and Credo is No. 5.

Eight other H-DNL teams will also be in action in the NCS playoffs this weekend.

Arcata football is also scheduled to host Hoopa at Mack High on Saturday night at 7 p.m.

  1. With the pending weather all football and soccer games should be held at hsu.. as its going to be the only playable feild… just saying
