One day after dropping their opening game at the NorCal State tournament in Gilroy, the McKinleyville 10-year-old All-Stars responded with a 17-7 win over Fair Oaks on Sunday.

The win keeps the Mack All-Stars in contention and sets up another game on Monday night at 7 p.m.

In other local baseball action on Sunday, the Northern Humboldt Giants rallied for two wins to claim their end-of-season tournament at Fairfield.

The Giants won the championship game 4-3 over Yuba, the same team that handed them their only loss of the week on Friday night.

Earlier in the day, the Giants defeated Petaluma 9-8.
