The Big 5 championship in volleyball will be decided on Tuesday night, with a huge showdown in Crescent City.
Going into the final night of conference play, Eureka has already secured at least a share of the title with a record of 6-1.
However, if Del Norte beats Eureka on Tuesday, then there would be a three-way tie for the championship.
Del Norte is currently 5-2 in conference play, while Arcata, which has a bye on Tuesday night, has closed out with a record of 6-2.
In the result of a three-way tie, as per league bylaws, all three schools would be crowned co-champs and there would be a playoff to determine which of the three schools receives the Big 5’s automatic North Coast Section qualifying berth and a probable home game.
The possible two playoff games would be held on Thursday and Saturday, with the matchups to be determined after Tuesday night’s games.
According to the league, ticket prices for the playoff games would be the same as for regular season H-DNL games, with no school passes allowed.
The playoff games will begin at 6:30 p.m.
