Sophomore guard CJ Figas helped lead the St. Bernard’s girls to their 12th win of the season in a non-tournament game at Yreka on Friday.
Figas finished with 13 points, including three 3-pointers, as the Crusaders won 66-26 and improved to 12-1.
The game was the first of a three-game road trip for the Crusaders, who will play two games on Saturday, facing off against Redding Christian at 1 p.m. and Red Bluff at 6 p.m.
Laila Florvilus also had a good game on Friday and finished with a team-high 14 points, while Aliyah Vigil added nine points and Samantha Sundberg had eight points.

Del Norte 50, Lassen 43
The Warriors tipped off the West Valley tournament with a hard-fought victory over Lassen on Friday afternoon.
Brooklyn Carter scored a team-high 20 points in the victory, as the Del Norte girls won for the eighth time in nine games and improved to 11-4.
This was the second meeting between the two schools this season, but a lot closer than the Warriors’ 52-17 win five days before Christmas.

“Pretty sloppy game, but the girls got it done,” Del Norte head coach Dylan Nelson said. “Lassen played hard hard. We put it on them last time and they were not going to let that happen again.”
Jaylee Keeling added 10 points in the win, while Tsinte Steinruck chipped in six points.
Kansas Coulson also had a good game on defense, while Hailey Moerke and Avery Ritter gave the team a spark off the bench.
“Kansas brought up our energy level on the defensive end after a slow start,” said Nelson, who added that Moerke and Ritter “gave positive minutes off the bench.”
The Warriors will continue tournament play with two games on Saturday, playing Mt. Shasta at 10:30 a.m and Chico at 1:30 p.m.
