
The Six Rivers Youth Football Conference will conclude a busy season on Sunday with three championships games scheduled.
The games will take place at Fortuna High School.
The action gets under way at 9:30 a.m., when Eureka plays Del Norte Blue in the Single-A decider.
The Nos. 3 and 4 seeds each have won a pair of playoff games on the way to the championship showdown.
No. 3 Eureka beat Del Norte Gold 19-6 in the first round two weeks ago and followed that with a 32-0 win over Ferndale in last week’s semifinal.
No. 4 Del Norte Blue, meanwhile, has posted a pair of one-point victories on the way to the championship game.
After defeating McKinleyville 14-13 in overtime in its playoff opener, Del Norte Blue followed that with a 7-6 over Eel River Valley last week.
The Double-A final will feature McKinleyville and Ferndale.
No. 1 seed McKinleyville beat Eel River Valley 19-12 in last weekend’s semifinal, while No. 2 Ferndale defeated Eureka Red 37-7 in its semifinal.
The Double-A championship game is scheduled to start at noon.
And rounding out a busy day for the local youth league, the Triple-A championship will also feature the top two seeds.
No. 1 Ferndale beat McKinleyville 14-8 in its semifinal and No 2 Eel River Valley defeated Hoopa 34-18 in the other semifinal.
The Triple-A championship gets under way at 2:30 p.m.
