By Ray Hamill — The Corsairs will play their home opener in football this weekend in a rematch of last year’s Grizzly Bowl game.
Here’s everything you need to know about the showdown.
Kickoff is set for 1 p.m., with gates opening at 11:30 a.m.
General admission is $10, or $5 for seniors and students.
College of the Redwoods students will be admitted for free, as will children 10 and under.
CR season passes can also be purchased for $60, or $40 for football only season pass.
Fans can pay with cash, check or through Venmo.
The game will be streamed live through CR’s YouTube Page.
The game will also be broadcast live on local ESPN affiliate, 107.3 FM and 1340 AM.
As mentioned, the game is a rematch of the 2023 Grizzly Bowl, which was also played at the Redwood Bowl and was won by the Corsairs by a score of 63-0.
After a bye last weekend, this will be Hartnell’s first game since that loss.
The Corsairs, meanwhile, are coming off an impressive season-opening victory at Merced College, winning 33-7.
CR scored TDs on offense, on defense and on special teams.
Perhaps most impressive was the play of the CR defense, which stretched its shutout streak to more than 15 straight quarters going back to last season before Merced scored a late TD against the CR backups.
