After barely missing out on a place in the inaugural Pacific Empire League championship series this week, the Humboldt Crabs have added two non-league midweek games to their schedule.
The local collegiate summer club will welcome the Athletic Edge Express to the Arcata Ball Park for games on Tuesday and Wednesday nights.
Both games are scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
With the season winding down, the Crabs now have just five games remaining on the schedule.
After their two games against the Athletic Edge Express, the Crabs will close out the 2024 season with a three-game series against the Menlo Legacy this weekend.
The Crabs, who dropped all three of their games against the California Tigers this past weekend, are now 28-17 on the season.
They finished third in the PEL standings, just half a game behind the Lincoln Potters, who have advanced to play the Healdsburg Prune Packers in this week’s league championship series.
The weekend games are set for 7 p.m. on Friday night, 6:30 p.m. on Saturday and 12:30 p.m. on Sunday.
