The best dynasty in the H-DNL is alive and well.

This spring, the Arcata Tigers completed yet another undefeated run through league play in boys tennis, finishing with a record of 14-0.

The league championship is the seventh straight for the Tigers, who continue to dominate local boys and girls tennis and are showing no signs of slowing down.

And that’s not all.

On Saturday, the Tigers swept all six titles at this year’s H-DNL singles championships at Fortuna High School.

In the No. 1 final, Arcata’s Lootah Hall defeated Gene Quinn of NorthCoast Prep by a score of 6-1, 6-4.

Hall will now represent the H-DNL at the North Coast Section singles championships, which will be held next month.

All six of Saturday’s singles finals were between Arcata and NPA boys.

At No. 2, Arcata’s Paul VandenBranden got the better of NPA’s Charlie Vanderpool, 2-6, 6-4, 6-1, in the most competitive of all six deciders.

In the No. 3 final, Bruin Nave defeated Iver Taylor,  6-3, 6-4, while in the No. 4 bracket, it was Arcata’s Micah Schiller who got the better of NPA’s Preston Illman, 6-3, 7-5.

And rounding out a good day for the Arcata boys, Eron Luoma defeated Colter Feldman, 7-6(4), 6-4, in the No. 5 final, while Ben Letts defeated Logan Max, 6-1, 6-1, in the No. 6 final.
