The Humboldt Crabs stretched their winning streak to 10 straight over the weekend with a three-game sweep of the Athletic Edge Express at the Arcata Ball Park.

After winning 6-3 on Friday night, the Crabs took the second game of the series 5-2 on Saturday and exploded for a 14-1 win on Sunday afternoon.

With the wins, the Crabs improved to 10-2 on the season.

Cameron Saso got the victory on the mound in Saturday’s game.

The former Mack Panther threw seven scoreless innings and allowed just four hits and one walk and struck out five.

Trevor Allen got the save in relief.

Billy Ham remained hot at the plate and finished  3-for-4 with two runs and an RBI, while Chubby Cortez and Andrew Crane each added a double.

Sunday’s game wasn’t as close, with the Crabs scoring seven runs in the bottom of the third inning to open up an early 12-1 lead, and they never looked back.

Wyatt Reginatto led a 17-hit team performance and was 4-for-5 with three doubles, four RBIs and two runs.

Colby Lunsford also had a big day at the plate and was 3-for-4 with a home run and a triple, while Griffin Myers had a home run.

Eureka’s Jackson Giacone also had a base hit in both of Saturday’s and Sunday’s games as he eases his way back from a long injury layoff.

St. Bernard’s Garrison Finck got the win on the mound.

Finck pitched five innings and allowed one earned run on five hits and no walks, while striking out four.

The Crabs will travel for a five-game road trip this week, playing at Walnut Creek on Wednesday and Thursday and at San Luis Obispo on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

This will be the team’s last road trip of the summer.
