The 2023 Redwood Acres Raceway season returns on Saturday after a three-week break, with another busy night of action scheduled.
In addition to all five local divisions, the night’s racing will also feature both the North State Modified Series and the Upstate Modified Series.
This will be the first race of the 2023 North State Modified Series after a scheduled opening race at the Shasta Speedway in April was cancelled due to rain.
The Upstate Modified Series, meanwhile, is in its first season of racing and Saturday’s race will be the second of four on the schedule.
Their first race took place this past Saturday night at the Ukiah Speedway, with Kyle Tellstrom taking the victory over an impressive field of 17 cars and drivers.
Both visiting series will compete in the 60-lap Dave McMurray Sr. Memorial feature and the night’s action will be sponsored by McMurray And Sons.
Tickets for Saturday night’s races can be purchased at Automasters in Eureka, Don’s Rent-All in Eureka, McKinleyville Barbershop and JC Auto in Fortuna.
Tickets can also be purchased on RacinTheAcres.com or at the gate on race day.
Fans that are unable to attend this weekend’s races in person have the option to view them via live stream by visiting RacinTheAcres.tv or SpeedSport.tv.
An open practice is scheduled for Friday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
