By Ray Hamill — The Arcata Tigers are the 2023 North Coast Section Division-4 baseball champions after a thrilling comeback at the Arcata Ball Park won Saturday night.
The Tigers rallied from a late four-run deficit to defeat Justin-Siena 5-4.
It is the third NCS title for the program in six postseasons.

The Tigers, who also won their NCS semifinal on a walk-off, will now turn their attention to the NorCal playoffs, which get under way on Tuesday night.
The Arcata boys received the No. 6 seed in the Division-III bracket and will open on the road at No. 3 Chico.
Game time is set for 4 p.m.
In addition to this year’s section championship, the Tigers were also crowned NCS champs in 2016 and 2019.
Ty Ghisetti scored the game-tying run in the bottom of the seventh inning on Saturday.
