The Northern Humboldt 10U Steelheads won their third straight tournament in Medford over the weekend, improving to 12-0 in their first season playing travel baseball together.
The dominating Steelheads won all four of their games and outscored their opponents 39-2 to place first at the Medford Fall Classic Baseball Tournament.
Jayce Daniels and Brylon Smith combined to pitch a pair of no-hitters, with Daniels getting the start in game one and striking out five, and Smith starting game three and finishing with 11 strikeouts.
Taylor Shrewsberry also had a big showing on the mound in the championship game, striking out six in four complete innings.
Several players stepped up at the plate, including Colton McCullough who led the way and finished the tournament 5-for-8.
Shrewsberry, Smith, Mason Webster, Dominic Brown and Asher Avelar each also had four hits in tourney play, while Daniels and Lucas Lopez each had three hits.
Drew Brady was 2-for-7, including a walk-off two-RBI single in the championship game.
Lucas Ball was 2-for-6 and Parker Morgan added a hit to round out a good weekend offensively for the young Steelheads.
