The Wildcats got their first win in league play on Thursday night, defeating South Fork 25-10, 25-13, 25-10 to cap a big night for Ferndale volleyball.

Kyla Albee led the way with 11 kills and 13 digs, as the Cats improved to 1-2 in the Little 4.

Setters Tia Henrikson and Jordan Soderman both also were instrumental in the win, finishing with nine and seven assists, respectively.

Teammates Cate Carrizales and Sage Machado both had a big night serving, with Carrizales hitting nine aces and Machado six.

Soderman also had five aces.

The Ferndale JVs also won in straight sets, 25-11, 25-6.

Rainy Rodriguez, Isabelle Ellsmore and Yajaira Cantu-Mendez all had good nights serving, while Amaya Mathews had a good night hitting and Clara Albee had a big game assisting.
