Cal Poly Humboldt softball will host a series of Fall Elite Recruit Camps later this year, the team announced on Tuesday.
The camps will be held on September 24, October 22, October 29 and November 12.
Each day’s session will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at a cost of $75.00.
The camps will be hosted at the Lumberjacks softball field and the indoor athletic facility, and attendance will be capped at 30 to maximize instruction.
“Since the game of softball is changing constantly, I think it is really fun to get to see what the next generation of talent is bringing,” said current Humboldt player Anna Brondos.
“I love passing on knowledge about the game that I was taught when I was their age. As a team, we love to have fun at practices, and that translates into camps, and they are always really fun!”
The camps are for high school student-athletes.
During each camp, the student-athletes will work closely with Lumberjacks players and coaching staff to cover a variety of skills including defense, hitting, pitching and catching.
Every camp is concluded with a live showcase event.
Afterward there will be a question-and-answer session for camp participants and parents and the players will provide a guided campus tour for those interested.
