The Redwood Empire and Eel River 11-year-old Little League All-Stars will play again on Thursday night to decide the District 26 championship.
The two clubs have split a pair of games at the tournament in Fortuna this week, including a big 9-3 win for RELL in the championship round on Thursday night.
The Redwood Empire players led by three runs early, but Eel River responded to tie the game in the fifth inning.
With their season on the line, however, the RELL All-Stars would pull away late for the victory to set up a third meeting between the two teams on Thursday.
The four-team district tournament began on Sunday.
Eel River is 2-1 in tournament play heading into the big Thursday night showdown, while RELL is 3-1 after winning elimination games on back-to-back nights.
First pitch is set for 6 p.m.
