The Humboldt Crabs will return to the Arcata Ball Park on Tuesday night, as they look to end a six-game losing streak.

The Crabs dropped five straight on the road last week, including a pair of defeats against the Potters in Lincoln on Saturday and Sunday, falling 2-1 and 9-4.

Merek Sears pitched seven strong innings for a no-decision in a well-played pitchers’ duel on Saturday night, allowing just one earned run on six hits and striking out six.

Cary Arbolida led the way at the plate and finished 2-for-4, while Cameron Saso was 1-for-3 with a walk.

Sunday’s series finale was a higher scoring affair and also a heartbreaker for the Crabs, who led 4-2 going into the bottom of the eighth before giving up seven runs in the inning.

The Crabs, who are now 8-8, will try to get back on track when they host the Silicon Valley Sharks on Tuesday and Wednesday night, with first pitch set for 7 p.m. on both nights.
