It was a good day for the Gans brothers at Sunday’s all-Humboldt Eagles American Legion matchup.
The Eagles 19Us got the better of the 17Us 17-5, with Branson and Rogan Gans combining for five hits.
One day after a strong pitching performance against the Tehama Bulls, Branson finished 3-for-4 for the 19Us with a double and three RBIs.
Younger brother Rogan was 2-for-3 with an RBI for the 17Us.
Cole Ayala also had a good day for the 19Us and finished 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI, while teammate Matt Letter was 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs.
Aidan Dorsch and Vincent Agliolo each had two hits and two RBs in the win, while Rylan Lommori was 2-for-4 and Parker Rodgers rounded out a big offensive day for the 19Us by going 1-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs.
Cole Zeller also was 2-for-4 with a triple and an RBI for the 17Us.
The 19Us, who are now 7-3, will open league play with a doubleheader at Casa Grande High School on Monday, playing one game against the league favorite Petaluma Leghorns and one against Vallejo.
