Another Lumberjack softball player named All-American

Micaela Harris has become Cal Poly Humboldt’s 48th all-time All-American selection in softball, it was announced on Wednesday.

Harris, who led the Jacks with 69 hits, 48 stolen bases, seven triples and 53 runs scored, has been named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) third team.

The Rocklin native follows in the footsteps of teammate Izzy Starr, who was selected to the 2021 NFCA All-American Second Team.

The senior is one of two Jacks that started in all 53 games this season and she had a .388 batting average while driving in 22 runs with eight doubles and five home runs. 

Heading into the NCAA Division II Super Regionals, Harris was third in the nation in stolen bases.

This season, she had 20 multiple-hit games and was 48-for-52 in stolen base attempts.

She also had a 16-game hitting streak.

This is the fourth postseason award for Harris, who was also named to the All-CCAA Team First Team, the NFCA All-West Region First Team and the D2CCA All-West Region First Team.
