Cal Poly Humboldt’s Micaela Harris has been rewarded for her big season with the Lumberjacks softball team and has been named to the 2022 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-West Region Team.

Harris was named to the first team, as voted on by the region’s softball head coaches in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA), the Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC) and the PacWest Conference.

This is the first time in her collegiate career that Harris has been given the prestigious honor.

The junior standout was also named to the 2022 All-CCAA Softball First Team, while earlier this season she was selected to the NFCA/Schutt Sports Top 50 Player/Pitcher of the Year Watch List.

The Rocklin native started in all 53 games for the Jacks this season and hit .388 with 53 runs scored, seven triples and 48 stolen bases.

In the recent NCAA Division II statistics, Harris is second in the nation in stolen bases and 18th in triples.

Her 48 stolen bases this season places her fourth on the Jacks’ single season list. She is third on the career list in stolen bases with 113.
