The College of the Redwoods women split a conference softball doubleheader at Lassen on Friday, rebounding from an 8-2 loss in the opener to take game two 7-5.
The win was the third on the season for the Corsairs and ended a five-game losing streak for the team, which improved to 1-3 in the Golden Valley Conference and 3-14-1 overall.
Sadie Hampton had a good day at the plate, finishing with a pair of hits in each game, including two triples in game two.
Seven Corsairs combined for 14 hits in the win, as the CR women broke a late 5-5 tie with two runs in the top of the sixth.
Samantha Caughie also had a good game in the win, finishing 3-for-4 with two triples, while Bronwyn Arnold was 3-for-4.
Brooke Faraimo and Kyla Pontoni each also had two hits, while Nas-Che-Wen Hunsucker and Kathryce Danzuka each also had a hit, including a double by the latter.
Faraimo got the win in the circle, allowing just six hits while walking none and striking out two.
Faraimo, Pontoni and Dentilla Albers each also had a hit in game one.
