All five starters scored in double digits as the Humboldt State women’s basketball team won a triple-OT thriller at Chico State, 105-96, on Saturday night.
Julia Iman had a career night with 33 points, 18 rebounds and eight assists, as the Jacks improved to 4-4 on the season and 3-1 in the CCAA.
“That was an unbelievable game,” HSU head coach Michelle Bento-Jackson said. “Because none of our players have played in the Chico/HSU game. I really don’t even think they understand the magnitude of this win.”
Ashley Peralta added 22 points in the win, while Madison Parry scored 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.
Also scoring in double digits for HSU were Kaz Parks with 18 points and Sharon Roldan with 12 points and 12 rebounds.
The HSU men, meanwhile, also played at Chico State on Saturday, falling 86-60 and dropping to 1-3 in conference and 7-3 overall.
Both HSU teams play at Sonoma State on Monday night.
