The Fortuna girls hosted Ukiah in their second game of the new basketball season on Tuesday night, falling 62-54.

Isobel Crosswhite continued her impressive start to the new season with a team-high 17 points in the loss, while teammate Teal Mostovoy added 15.

With the loss, the Fortuna girts are now 1-1.

A busy week for the Huskies continues on Thursday when they open play at the Arcata tournament.

Fortuna plays Mazama at 8:30 p.m.

The Fortuna JVs and freshmen teams were also in action on Tuesday.

The JVs posted a comfortable 48-21 win over Ukiah, while the freshmen dropped a close one to Eureka, with the Loggers winning 38-36.
