The Cubs came out of the starting gates in impressive fashion on the way to a 66-40 win at Potter Valley in their season opener in boys basketball on Tuesday night.
Oliver Tatton hit back-to-back 3-pointers to open the game as South Fork set the early tone and opened up a decisive 40-16 lead by halftime.
Tatton finished with a team-high 15 points and the South Fork boys outscored the Bearcats in each of the opening three quarters.
Tanner Curran also had a big night, dishing out some incredible assists and chipping in 10 points.
Shevy Bero also played well and finished with 10 points.
A busy week continues on Thursday for the Cubs, who play at Fort Bragg before opening the two-day Point Arena tournament on Friday.
