Fresh off a big fall in soccer, junior Summer Contreras began the new season in style, finishing with a game-high 18 points in the win, as the Cubs took control early and never looked back.
The South Fork girls opened up a 30-6 lead by halftime and outscored the Bearcats in each of the four quarters.
Shawnessy Conway-O’Neill added nine points in the win, while teammates Cadence Young chipped in eight and Kaylee Cotter seven.
Melissa Beebe added five points, Micheala McMahon four and Raelynn Hawkins three.
