The Crusaders bowed out of the North Coast Section Division-6 volleyball playoffs on Wednesday night, falling at No. 2 seed Mendocino.

The No. 3 St. Bernard’s girls lost 25-17, 16-25, 25-16, 25-21.

Madelyn Shanahan capped an outstanding individual season with another big performance, leading the Crusaders with 11 kills and four blocks.

Teammate Courteney Goodman also closed out strong with six kills, while Kodi Meyer dished out a team-high 26 assists and also had five aces.

Amaiyah Her added four aces.

The loss ends the season for the Crusaders, who were co-Little 4 champs along with Hoopa.

St. Bernard’s was the last remaining H-DNL team in the volleyball playoffs.

After Wednesday’s win, the Cardinals advance to play No 4 Anderson Valley in the championship game on Saturday night.
