Local raceway donates 100 tickets for Monster Truck show

By Ray Hamill — Monster trucks will make an appearance at the Redwood Acres Raceway this weekend and 100 local kids will get to see them for free.

The Malicious Monster Truck Insanity Tour makes a stop at the local raceway on Friday and Saturday and track officials have donated 100 tickets to the Boys and Girls Club of the Redwoods.

The Insanity Tour has had a monster truck parked outside the Eureka Teen Center all week and was scheduled to give free rides to members of the boys and girls club on Wednesday afternoon.

Tickets for the monster event are available at, as well as at Automasters in Eureka, Don’s Rent-All in Eureka, McKinleyville Barbershop and JC Auto in Fortuna.

Tickets can also be purchased at the front gate on both days.

Children under the age of three get in free while tickets for children ages 3-12 are $10 and Adult tickets are $20.

Gates open at 4:30 p.m. on both nights with a pit party taking place at 5 p.m.

The show starts at 7 p.m.
