The Del Norte Warriors comfortably won a game they were expected to on Friday night, beating Kelseyville 55-13 behind a dominating night running the ball.

The Warriors, who improved to 2-1, racked up 480 yards on the ground.

“I was happy with how we executed,” head coach Nick White said. “We just wanted to come in there and focus on getting better and not making the mistakes we’ve been making, and I thought we really did that tonight.”

Giancarlo Desolenni scored four touchdowns on 100 yards total offense, while RJ Loftin led the ground attack with 120 yards on nine carries.

“I was happy with the overall team effort,” White added. “Everybody on the team played a role for us and that was huge.”

The Del Norte JVs also won 41-20.

The Warriors will have a bye next week before opening the Big 4 at St. Bernard’s in two weeks.
