Ethan Fischel finished 3-for-6 with a home run and a triple as the Humboldt Crabs opened a weekend series against TKB Baseball with a 17-3 win at the Arcata Ball Park on Friday night.
The Eureka High grad also drove in three runs and scored three, capping a big week for the local standout who plays collegiately at Willamette University..
On Wednesday night, Fischel was 2-for-4 with a home run and a double in a 6-4 win over the Redding Tigers.
The staring infielder has steadily seen his average rise to .361, third best on the team, and he now has three home runs and a team-best 16 doubles.
He is also tied with Gabe Giosso for most extra-base hits on the team with 20.
Luke Powell and David Morgan also had big nights at the plate against TKB Baseball, with a pair of doubles each.
Kaden Riccomini got the win on the mound, his team-leading fifth of the summer.
