The Giants got the better of the host team 14-3 in five innings to improve to 2-0 in tournament action and will now play Yuba, also 2-0, on Friday night, with a place in the championship round on the line.
A total of 11 different players hit successfully in Thursday’s win, while pitchers Finn McRae, Alex Gorge and Vincent Agliolo combined on the mound for a two-hitter.
Gorge got the win, pitching 2.2 innings in relief of McRae and allowing just one hit while striking out four.
Ethan Thomas had the hot bat, finishing 3-for-3 with two doubles, while Agliolo was 2-for-3 with a triple.
Jared Dixon, William Bommelyn and Will Mager each also had two hits in the win, while Wilson Medina had a hit for the second straight game after being called up from the younger Northern Humboldt Knights roster for the big tournament.
McRae, Gorge, Austin Brown, Jason DeShaun and Ty Ghisetti each had a hit to round out a 17-hit team performance.
The Giants, who are 32-4-1, will play Yuba at 7 p.m. on Friday night.
