The McKinleyville Panthers are showing no signs of letting up in H-DNL softball, scoring 14 runs in the opening two innings at South Fork on Wednesday, on the way to a 16-0 victory in five innings.
The Mack girls, who have now won eight straight games after starting out 0-3, racked up 17 hits in the win.
The ever-consistent Camryn Pinard led the way at the plate once again, finishing 4-for-5, while teammate Chloe Alves finished 3-for-4 with a double.
Ashley Ballew, Allie Egbert and Cameron Heenan each also had two hits, including a double each, while Raina Ausburn added a double.
Kennedy Minton also had two hits, while Taya Gomes had one.
Ausburn pitched two innings for the win, allowing one hit and one walk, while striking out four.
Mashell Stumpf pitched three strong innings in relief, also allowing just the one hit and no walks, while striking out three.
Sophomore Summer Contreras had both of South Fork’s hits.
