Humboldt State University has postponed next month’s annual celebrity dinner and sports auction, and is now looking at holding the event sometime in October.

With all activities on campus suspended until the summer, it comes as no surprise to see the dinner and auction pushed back.

HSU is reportedly considering October 17 for the event, pushing it back all the way until the fall so that the student athletes can be in attendance.

The guest speaker for the event was scheduled to be former US women’s national soccer team captain Christie Pearce Rampone, who was also scheduled to host a clinic on campus earlier in the day.

HSU is working on rescheduling the clinic as well.

Refunds will be given to anyone unable to make either event on the new date.

This year will be the 35th annual celebrity dinner and sports auction.

The event fundraises for student athlete scholarships.
