CR women to face top seed next in NorCal playoffs

By Ray Hamill — Fresh off their big playoff win over Skyline College in the second round of the NorCal basketball playoffs on Friday night, the College of the Redwoods women will now travel to play San Joaquin Delta with a place in the state’s Elite Eight up for grabs.

The Mustangs are the top seeds in NorCal and improved to 28-1 with an 82-44 win over Siskiyous in their playoff opener on Saturday.

The Corsairs, who are 21-5, defeated Skyline 62-60 in a thriller in their playoff opener.

The CR women will play at San Joaquin Delta on Saturday night at 7 p.m.

The CR men will also play the top seed in NorCal in their next playoff game, traveling to City College of San Francisco, which is 29-0 on the season.

That game is also on Saturday night at 7 p.m.
