Zac Anderson was 3-for-4 with a home run and five RBIs, as the Humboldt Eagles got the better of the Northern Humboldt Giants for the second straight day in Arcata on Tuesday.
The Eagles won 14-2 in five innings and improved to 3-1.
Nick Dugan pitched five strong innings for the win, allowing just two runs and striking out eight.
His St. Bernard’s teammate Lane Thrap also had a big day, finishing 4-for-4, while Ferndale’s Jenner Christiansen 2-for-3 with a double.

A pair of Eureka players, Parker Rodgers and Keenan Morris, each also finished with two hits, with Rodgers driving in two runs and Morris one.
Rounding out an impressive day at the plate for the Eagles were three St. Bernard’s freshmen.
Dugan, Braeden Zimmerman and Brody Tomlin each had an RBI hit, with the latter driving in two late runs.
The Giants drop to 0-2.
