This weekend’s Northern Humboldt Giants’ American Legion baseball tournament has been moved and will now take place at the Arcata Babe Ruth Field.
The inaugural Arcata Fall Classic, which gets under way on Saturday, was originally scheduled to be played at Arcata High School, but according to Giants head coach Brandon Coborn, clerical errors have forced a switch.
The four-team tournament will run for three days, with the playoff round taking place on Monday.
“Big thank you to Arcata Little League, the Kees family and the Ghisetti family for making this move a possibility on such such short notice,” Coborn said.
In addition to the Giants, tournament field also includes Southern Oregon Baseball, the West Sacramento Samurai and the Reno Knights.
The action gets under way at noon on Saturday.
